The clock is
in the construction.
The upper drum carries the hours. The lower drum carries the minutes. Small fixed markers on the frame let you read both while the drums turn. Open ribs above them hold the orbital crown.
Beneath the dark drums, gold and silver gearwork sits within a gently curved frame. Three midnight-blue pods and swept charcoal fins give the selected design its stance.
01 / THE CROWN
A five-minute
revolution.
A blue planet, a silver planet and a black planet sit around a gold-coloured sun. The rings and crown are designed to rotate as one assembly, completing a turn every five minutes.
This is a kinetic composition, with one shared rotation. It does not reproduce the planets’ individual orbits. Powered movement still needs to be demonstrated in the prototype.
02 / THE DISPLAY

Read the hour sector beneath the upper marker, then the minute mark beneath the lower one. The minute scale has 60 marks, with numeral labels every five minutes.
At 10:25, the upper marker sits in the 10 sector and the lower points to 25. The printed prototype uses a continuous readout: neighbouring numerals can be visible, so the markers guide the reading. Rendered poses are finish studies, not calibrated times.

The first 3D printed build will test drum clearance, readable markings and movement under load. The selected design refines the curved frame alongside it. Final materials follow physical tests.
